Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses The Mycotyrant to convert self-mill and graveyard churn into a relentless army of Fungus tokens. Early turns establish mana acceleration and mill enablers such as Stitcher's Supplier, Skull Prophet, and Life from the Loam. By Turn 4, the commander enters and immediately generates Fungus tokens at the end step based on descend counts. The deck then converts this wide board into massive mana through Cryptolith Rite and Insidious Roots, or draws cards via Skullclamp. Victory is achieved around Turn 5 or 6 through an overrun attack with Beastmaster Ascension or a reanimated Craterhoof Behemoth, or by draining opponents with Syr Konrad, the Grim and Mirkwood Bats. The list packs versatile removal like Assassin's Trophy, Deadly Rollick, and Boseiju, Who Endures, and recovers rapidly from sweepers by leveraging rich graveyard recursion.
