Commander: The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

The deck is a Golgari landfall/beatdown build centered on The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride. Mana dorks and land-tutors reach enough mana to cast huge creatures, then the commander uses haste and Saddle 1 to attack immediately, sacrificing the saddled high-power creature to draw X cards and put X lands from hand onto the battlefield tapped. Those lands fuel landfall payoffs like Rampaging Baloths and Ob Nixilis the Fallen, while cost-reduced spells like Ghalta, Primal Hunger become efficient. Secondary plans include graveyard recursion with Dawn of the Dead, Animate Dead, and Nissa of Shadowed Boughs, plus a final trampling overrun. There is no hidden commander; The Gitrog is both the value engine and an aggressive mount.
