Deck overview

This Gruul turbo deck leverages Raph & Mikey, Troublemakers as a rapid creature-cheating engine from the command zone. By running a hyper-dense suite of fast mana, rituals, and cost-accelerators, the deck consistently generates seven mana by Turn 3. Because the commander possesses inherent haste and trample, it attacks the turn it enters, immediately triggering an ability that digs until it hits a creature card and puts it directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. To maximize impact and eliminate whiff variance, the 99 features an ultra-curated creature suite of high-power closers such as Blightsteel Colossus, Port Razer, Raphael, Tag Team Tough, and Old Gnawbone. Chained extra-combat spells and extra-turn cards compound this pressure to eliminate the table within one response cycle. A robust suite of free and low-cost protection spells ensures the commander resolves and connects through opposing disruption.
