Deck overview

Teval, the Balanced Scale leads a graveyard-centered value deck that turns attacks into land recursion and Zombie tokens. The deck fills its graveyard with Entomb, Hermit Druid, Mesmeric Orb, Ripples of Undeath, and Teval's own mill trigger, then converts that material through Muldrotha, the Gravetide, Chthonian Nightmare, Dread Return, Victimize, and Animate Dead. Land engines such as Exploration, Azusa, Lost but Seeking, Life from the Loam, and Icetill Explorer support repeated landfall and mana development. Its strongest compact interaction is the Gravecrawler plus Phyrexian Altar infinite loop, but a separate payoff is required to win. The ordinary plan is slower: establish Teval, grow a token board, and finish with Craterhoof Behemoth or a large Finale of Devastation. That route has meaningful setup exposure and does not reliably finish against three opponents without additional access, mana, and protection.
