Deck overview

This mono-black deck uses K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth to convert life into black mana, turning your life total into explosive tempo. The deck accelerates into play on turn 3 or 4, deploying powerful card-drawing engines such as Vilis, Broker of Blood, Necropotence, and Bolas's Citadel at a fraction of their normal mana costs. Once your resource engine is online, the deck seeks to close the game with the two-card infinite combo of Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Sanguine Bond. Whenever an opponent loses life or you gain life, these two permanents trigger each other indefinitely, draining all three opponents from full health to zero in a single turn. Outside of its primary combo, the deck controls the board with sweepers like Toxic Deluge and Damnation, taxes opponents with Polluted Bonds, and threatens massive non-infinite finishes using Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Exsanguinate, and Aetherflux Reservoir.
