Deck overview

This deck leverages Akul the Unrepentant as a repeatable cheat engine to bypass the mana costs of massive game-ending creatures. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost token generators and recurring fodder such as Dragon Fodder, Ophiomancer, and Nether Traitor. Once four mana is available, Akul lands and immediately converts three disposable bodies into powerhouse threats like Archon of Cruelty, Pathrazer of Ulamog, or Grave Titan. A complementary reanimation package featuring Reanimate and Victimize ensures that discarded or fallen threats return to the battlefield without relying exclusively on the commander. Interaction is sharp and efficient, utilizing premier Rakdos spot removal to manage opposing threats while wide sacrifice edicts strip opposing boards. The deck closes games through relentless combat damage backed by evasive beaters and aristocrat drain triggers.
