Deck overview

This Izzet Spellslinger deck is commanded by Vivi Ornitier, an engine that grows in power, deals group damage with every noncreature spell, and generates a burst of mana equal to its power. The deck accelerates in the early turns using premium fast mana artifacts to deploy Vivi on Turn 2 or 3. Once Vivi is established, it leverages high-velocity card engines like Curiosity (which draws three cards per cast via group damage triggers) and Archmage Emeritus to storm through its library. The primary win condition is the compact Underworld Breach, Lion's Eye Diamond, and Brain Freeze loop, which mills the library into a Thassa's Oracle finish, or alternatively burning the table out in a single turn through Vivi and storm spells. A dense suite of free and efficient counterspells protects the combo turns while disrupting opposing strategies.
