Deck overview

This deck is a Mono-Black Aristocrats and Reanimation strategy led by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap recursive creatures, sacrifice outlets, and continuous edicts to control opposing boards while advancing your own board state. Sephiroth provides immediate card advantage by sacrificing creatures on attack and punishes every death across the table with direct life drain. Once four creature deaths occur in a single turn, Sephiroth transforms into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, creating an indelible Super Nova emblem that turns every future death into uncounterable drain. The deck supports this core attrition engine with heavy-hitting late-game recursion spells like Living Death, Rise of the Dark Realms, and Breach the Multiverse, alongside severe creature lockouts from Archfiend of Depravity and Tergrid, God of Fright. Low-cost recursion instants protect your key pieces, allowing you to steadily grind opposing life totals to zero.
