Deck overview

Queen Marchesa heads a Mardu monarchy-control deck that wins through incremental board presence and the monarch title rather than a fast infinite combo. The primary plan is to become the monarch, protect that status with pillow-fort and goad effects, then convert it into card draw, treasures, and an ever-growing army via Assemble the Legion and Oath of Eorl. Secondary paths include draining with Court of Ire and exploding with Brash Taunter plus Blasphemous Act. The commander provides haste, deathtouch tokens, and a reliable monarch trigger, but the deck does not revolve around her alone. There is no hidden commander; Assemble the Legion is the closest thing to a non-commander engine the deck is built to use.
