Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet spellslinger strategy led by Rootha, Mastering the Moment. The primary objective is to cheat the mana value equation by casting high-cost instant and sorcery spells with built-in cost reduction, delve, or alternate casting modes, such as Temporal Trespass, Volcanic Salvo, and Magma Opus. These spells trigger Rootha's combat ability to create massive flying haste Elemental tokens. The deck features dense 1-2 CMC ramp and cost-reducers to establish the commander by Turn 4. Backup token generators such as Manaform Hellkite and Rionya, Fire Dancer ensure threat continuity. Opponents are pressured through evasive air damage, extra combat steps via Full Throttle, and direct burn from Champion of the Path. While weak to heavy creature removal and graveyard hate, the deck delivers fast, explosive combat damage.
