Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes Gorma, the Gullet as an infinite counter-canceling engine in the command zone. Gorma places a +1/+1 counter on any nontoken creature entering the battlefield if a creature died this turn. When combined with a persist creature such as Putrid Goblin or Lesser Masticore and a free sacrifice outlet like Viscera Seer or Carrion Feeder, the +1/+1 counter cancels out the persist -1/-1 counter immediately upon entry. This creates an infinite sacrifice and death loop that drains all three opponents to zero life in a single turn using Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat. The deck accelerates its mana on Turn 1, deploys Gorma on Turn 2, and uses efficient graveyard tutors and reanimation spells to deploy Protean Hulk on Turn 4. Protean Hulk directly fetches the entire winning creature package, bypassing combat entirely.
