Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai midrange engine built around The Wise Mothman, blending mill strategies with aggressive +1/+1 counter scaling. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration via cheap mana dorks and artifacts to land Mothman ahead of curve on Turn 3 or 4. Once in play, Mothman distributes rad counters to all players, forcing continuous mill and incidental life loss during every precombat main phase. As nonland cards hit graveyards, Mothman places +1/+1 counters across your board, quickly inflating attackers into lethal flying threats. Card advantage engines such as Danny Pink and Mirelurk Queen convert counter placement into a steady stream of resources, while mass mill pieces like Mesmeric Orb and Consuming Aberration accelerate clock speed. The deck can also close out games via direct burn from Syr Konrad, the Grim or an infinite mill loop with Mindcrank and Bloodchief Ascension or Duskmantle Guildmage.
