Deck overview

This deck is a specialized 5-color combo-storm list built around Codie, Ravenous Codex and creature cards with the Prepare mechanic. Instead of running traditional instants and sorceries, the 99 is entirely composed of permanents, allowing it to leverage creature bodies that hold spell copies. On Turn 3, Codie enters the battlefield to act as a spell doubler and mass-preparation engine. By Turn 5, assembling {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} allows Codie to prepare every creature simultaneously. Casting doubled spells like Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song produces massive mana, Goblin Glasswright // Craft with Pride generates fixing Treasures, and Elite Interceptor // Rejoinder repeatedly untaps Codie while drawing through the library. The sequence culminates in a massive, doubled Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate or Professor Onyx triggers that eliminate the entire table on Turn 5. If disrupted, the deck pivots to swarming with 5/5 Dragons via Rite of the Dragoncaller and Mirari's Wake.
