Format: Commander

Commander: Karn, Legacy Reforged

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This colorless artifact-combo deck helmed by Karn, Legacy Reforged aims to generate overwhelming quantities of colorless mana through a dense network of mana rocks and infinite-mana engines, then convert that mana into an immediate win. The primary path to victory involves assembling an infinite-mana loop - most commonly Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth - and deploying a pay-off such as Walking Ballista or Staff of Domination + Aetherflux Reservoir. Karn himself serves as a mana battery (upkeep-triggered mana equal to the number of artifacts you control) and a large beater, but he is not essential to the combo plan. Backup wins include Blightsteel Colossus infect damage, massive Aetherflux Reservoir activations, or locking opponents with Mycosynth Lattice + Karn, the Great Creator. The deck's extreme artifact density (over 75% of the nonland deck is artifact-typed or artifact-dependent) makes it explosively fast but structurally brittle against anti-artifact hate.
