Deck overview

This Boros deck executes a synergistic tribal strategy centered on Thorin, King of Durin's Folk. The game plan establishes early Dwarf board presence on Turns 1 through 3 before casting Thorin on Turn 4. Every Dwarf entering the battlefield creates a Treasure token, which simultaneously accelerates mana and scales a massive power buff across the entire Dwarf army. By Turn 5, a swarm of buffed Dwarves—many possessing native first strike, double strike, or trample—presents lethal combat pressure against opposing life totals. The deck backs up this aggressive clock with targeted artifact and creature tutors such as Magda, Brazen Outlaw and Dwarven Recruiter, flexible Boros spot removal, and critical protective spells like Boros Charm. While vulnerable to mass exile and artifact sweepers, the deck maintains high resilience through independent anthems like Shared Animosity and strong direct-damage payoffs like Dáin of the Ancient Halls.
