Deck overview

This Golgari deck operates as an aristocrats and graveyard reanimation engine led by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. In the opening turns, you establish mana acceleration and low-cost sacrifice fodder like Stitcher's Supplier and Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia. Casting Meren on Turn 4 initiates a compounding value loop: every dying creature adds permanent experience counters, allowing Meren to return creatures directly to the battlefield at each end step. Self-mill enablers such as Six, Ripples of Undeath, and Midnight Tilling turn your graveyard into an accessible second hand. Midgame value pieces like Insidious Roots, Desecrated Tomb, and Skeleton Crew convert graveyard recursion into a wide token army. The deck transitions into a lethal threat around Turn 6 by dropping combat finishers such as Beastmaster Ascension or Tyvar, the Pummeler, overwhelming all three opponents with massive attacks across two subsequent combat rounds.
