Deck overview

This is a tightly tuned Orzhov aristocrats deck helmed by Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar. The plan is classic death-value: flood the board with cheap tokens and recursive bodies, feed them to free sacrifice outlets, and convert every death into life drain, card advantage, and counters on the commander. Syr Vondam is a strong payoff-he grows from every death or exile, pads your life total, and can snipe a nonland permanent when he dies at 4+ power-but he is not the engine. The real win conditions live in the 99: stacked drain pieces (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, Marionette Apprentice, Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER), go-wide combat with Adeline, Resplendent Cathar and Cathars' Crusade, and several two- and three-card infinite loops built around Gravecrawler, Luminous Broodmoth, and free sac outlets. Recursion and blink density keep the machine running through interaction, making the deck a grindy, resilient midrange aristocrats list rather than a glass-cannon combo deck.
