Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius aggro-control strategy led by Denzilore Fatehold that weaponizes the scry and surveil mechanics into massive board-wide stat buffs. The game plan focuses on deploying inexpensive flying and scrying utility creatures in the opening turns, holding up mana for reactive disruption or flashing in the commander before untapping on turn 4. Once Denzilore Fatehold is on the battlefield, multi-stage scry spells like Cryptic Annelid and attack triggers rapidly place +1/+1 counters on every creature. Card draw engines such as Matoya, Archon Elder and Danny Pink ensure hand replenishment with every trigger, while protective instants like Ripples of Potential and cheap counterspells shield the board from sweepers. The deck closes games around turn 7 using evasion from Herald of Secret Streams or asymmetric board wipes like Damning Verdict and Wave Goodbye to deliver unblockable, lethal combat damage across the table.
