Deck overview

This deck is a specialized 5-color identity 'cast-from-exile' spellslinger shell led by Karolina Dean, Runaway. Karolina produces {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} at the start of every first main phase, mana that cannot be spent on spells from hand but freely fuels cards cast from exile, graveyards, or activated abilities. The deck leverages heavy impulse draw, plot, cascade, and adventure mechanics to load the exile zone with playable spells. Once Karolina untaps, payoffs like Nico Minoru, Runaway, Shadow of the Goblin, and Prosper, Tome-Bound convert every spell cast from exile into direct table-wide damage, Treasure generation, and board buffs via Fire Lord Zuko. Massive haymakers like Etali, Primal Storm, Aminatou's Augury, and Dance with Calamity provide explosive board development. While highly synergistic and rich in card advantage, the deck is vulnerable to targeted commander removal and creature sweepers due to limited defensive countermagic.
