Archelos by user6192725

Format: Commander

Commander: Archelos, Lagoon Mystic

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Archelos, Lagoon Mystic is both the keystone and the win condition of this Sultai stax deck; there is no hidden commander. When Archelos is tapped during opponents' turns, their permanents enter tapped; when it untaps on your turn, your permanents enter untapped. Amulet of Vigor and Tiller Engine forgive the self-tap, enabling Orb of Dreams, Frozen Aether, and Mana Web to form a one-sided prison. The deck closes the game by establishing a hard mana lock (Mana Web plus Trinisphere/Defense Grid), then kills with repeated commander damage through unblockable auras and Conqueror's Flail. Card draw and tutors keep the plan consistent, but there is no fast combo.
