Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Spellslinger and Red Group Slug deck commanded by Kykar, Wind's Fury. The strategy uses Kykar to convert noncreature spells into 1/1 flying Spirit tokens, which then sacrifice for red mana or draw cards with Skullclamp. Instead of storm loops, the deck converts this mana and card velocity into aggressive burn and punisher enchantments. Key pieces like Manabarbs, Spellshock, Burning Earth, and Descent into Avernus tax every basic game action opponents take. Damage amplifiers such as Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph, and Fiery Emancipation turn small pings into lethal damage. Kykar breaks parity by generating non-land mana from Spirit sacrifices. When opponents are low on life, finishers like Mana Geyser, Crackle with Power, and Goblin Bombardment close out the game quickly across the entire table.
