Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie Tribal Aristocrats strategy commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary game plan involves curving out early Zombie bodies and high-power fodder like Rotting Regisaur, casting Gisa on Turn 5, and tapping her on Turn 6 to convert those bodies into massive swarms of 2/2 Zombie tokens. Once the board is established, the deck leverages redundant Aristocrats drain pieces—such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Plague Belcher, Mirkwood Bats, and Syr Konrad, the Grim—alongside lords and Lost Monarch of Ifnir to close the game across two combat rotations. The deck possesses exceptional card-drawing velocity through Graveborn Muse, Cryptbreaker, and Undead Augur. Its primary limitations lie in its reliance on an untap step with a 5-mana commander, low instant-speed protection, and mono-black's inherent inability to interact directly with artifacts.
