Goathearted

Format: Commander

Commander: Zedruu the Greathearted

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Zedruu the Greathearted pilots a donation/politics control deck. The primary plan is to resolve Zedruu, give away cheap or symmetrical permanents (Hithlain Rope, Bucknard's Everfull Purse, Pendant of Prosperity), and convert the number of controlled gifts into relentless upkeep draws and life. Secondary paths use Bazaar Trader, Iroh, Tea Master, and Stiltzkin as additional donate outlets, while Pramikon, Statecraft, and Form of the Dragon buy time. The deck wins through alternate conditions: Felidar Sovereign, Approach of the Second Sun, Triskaidekaphile, or Aetherflux Reservoir. There is no combo suite, no infinite mana, and no hidden commander; the engine is Zedruu plus the gift permanents. It is a value deck that out-draws and out-lifes opponents before landing a life- or hand-based win condition.
