Deck overview

Umbris, Fear Manifest is a Dimir Horror tribal deck that wins by exiling opponents' libraries with Horror ETB triggers, making Umbris enormous, and then attacking for lethal commander damage. Secondary plans include mill damage from Nemesis of Reason, Consuming Aberration, and Maddening Cacophony, plus reanimator-style value from Captain N'ghathrod and Uchuulon. The commander is both the primary scaling threat and a mill engine, but the deck includes enough independent Horrors and mill spells to function if Umbris is answered. Counterspells and instant-speed removal keep the board clear while the exile plan builds, and graveyard hate can be turned into extra pump for Umbris.
