Format: Commander

Commander: Obeka, Brute Chronologist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Obeka, Brute Chronologist leads a Grixis tempo-combo deck built around ending the turn to cheat end-step sacrifices and keep one-shot value tokens. The primary plan is to cheat or reanimate big threats with Sneak Attack, Whip of Erebos, and Ilharg, then use Obeka or Sundial of the Infinite to keep those creatures permanently. A secondary one-shot plan uses Rionya, Fire Dancer (the closest hidden commander) and Devastating Onslaught to make many copies of Terror of the Peaks and kill the table with ETB damage. The commander is the glue that turns temporary value into lasting advantage, but the deck can also function through straight reanimation and red copy effects. With 29 interaction pieces, draw-heavy midrange cards, and a fragile but explosive combo, it balances disruption and speed.
