Deck overview

This deck is a focused Selesnya typal deck helmed by Vrestin, Menoptra Leader, centered around generating Insect tokens and growing them with +1/+1 counters. Early turns focus on land acceleration via spells like Nature's Lore, Three Visits, and Circuitous Route to hit a critical mass of mana. Once deployed on turn 5, Vrestin, Menoptra Leader creates an evasive army of flying Alien Insects that expand in power with every attack. Counter amplifiers such as Hardened Scales, Loading Zone, The Earth Crystal, and Doubling Season compound this growth, while asymmetric board wipes like Damning Verdict clear opposing blockers without harming your modified squad. Card draw engines like Terrasymbiosis, Caretaker's Talent, and The Great Henge keep resources flowing into the midgame. The deck seeks to overwhelm the table through evasive aerial combat across turns 6 to 8.
