Deck overview

This Golgari deck pairs a wide token strategy with high-impact sorceries by using Witherbloom, the Balancer to grant all instant and sorcery spells affinity for creatures. Early turns focus on accelerating mana and generating cheap creature bodies through mana dorks and low-cost token spells. Once the commander enters the battlefield for as little as two colored mana, expensive card draw spells and tutors become virtually free, allowing the deck to rapidly assemble lethal win conditions. The deck primarily closes games on Turn 5 by resolving Craterhoof Behemoth or a massive Finale of Devastation for table-wide trample damage, with Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate serving as redundant drains. Protection pieces like City of Solitude and Defense Grid ensure closing turns proceed without opposing instant-speed disruption.
