Deck overview

This Dimir deck uses The Ancient One as a repeatable draw and discard engine that mills opponents equal to the discarded card's mana value and quickly enables Descend 8. It fills its graveyard with self-mill, looting, and tutors, then wins through incremental drain and mill rather than fast combo. The main paths are a Syr Konrad plus The Mindskinner loop that turns every creature mill or death into opponent mill, and a grindy value plan with Gray Merchant, Dreadhound, Starving Revenant, and reanimation via The Cauldron of Eternity and Victimize. Necrotic Ooze with Asmodeus, Skirge Familiar, K'rrik, and Starving Revenant offers a second, mana-heavy loop. The deck controls the board while assembling graveyard synergies.
