Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Esper control strategy built around Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. Its core game plan revolves around manipulating the top of the library using cheap cantrips, scry effects, and artifacts like Sensei's Divining Top, then attacking with Yennett to cast colossal odd-mana-value spells without paying their costs. By cheating in catastrophic threats such as Void Winnower, Portal to Phyrexia, Breach the Multiverse, and Expropriate, the deck creates overwhelming asymmetric board disparity. While capable of locking opponents out of casting spells or keeping creatures on the board, the deck's primary victory route is a rapid combat beatdown powered by high-stature Eldrazi, Sphinxes, and Praetors. Its robust interaction suite of countermagic, targeted removal, and one-sided sweepers ensures control over opposing proactive plans while assembling its board.
