Deck overview

This deck is an explosive mono-black Zombie Aristocrats combo strategy commanded by The Ghoul, Gunslinger. The primary game plan revolves around assembling recurring sacrifice loops using Gravecrawler alongside free mana sac outlets such as Phyrexian Altar or Warren Soultrader, converting infinite enter-the-battlefield and death triggers into immediate lethality via drain engines like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Marionette Apprentice, and The Meathook Massacre. Supported by a high density of fast mana (Dark Ritual, Mana Vault, Sol Ring) and premier tutors (Demonic Tutor, Diabolic Intent, Entomb, Beseech the Mirror), the deck consistently achieves usable assembly and critical onset by Turn 4. If primary combo pieces face targeted hate, the deck pivots naturally into wide Zombie board states powered by Diregraf Colossus, Headless Rider, and mass reanimation via Rise of the Dark Realms. Its main limitations stem from minimal stack protection and vulnerability to dedicated graveyard exile effects.
