Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Grixis wheel and group slug strategy commanded by Nekusar, the Mindrazer. The primary game plan focuses on deploying permanents that punish card draw and discard, such as Underworld Dreams, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Fate Unraveler, and Liliana's Caress. Once a punisher is active, the deck casts symmetrical draw spells and wheels like Windfall, Dark Deal, and Reforge the Soul to deal massive chunks of burn damage across all opponents simultaneously. Secondary engines like Waste Not and Bone Miser turn opposing discards into bursts of mana and card advantage to chain multiple spells in a single turn. Symmetrical locks such as Sire of Insanity and Teferi's Puzzle Box prevent opponents from sculpting answers while Archfiend of Ifnir keeps creature boards clear. The deck reliably closes out games around Turn 7 through continuous draw step damage and chained wheel effects.
