Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-black Zombie tribal list helmed by Ghoulcaller Gisa. Its primary game plan revolves around deploying resilient Zombie creatures and cost-effective lords, then casting Gisa to convert larger bodies into wide token swarms. Once an army of 2/2 black Zombies is established, the deck applies pressure through wide combat attacks supported by anthem effects such as Undead Warchief and Death Baron, or through life-drain triggers from cards like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Vengeful Dead. Because the deck foregoes fast mana, tutors, and infinite combos, it operates primarily at a traditional midrange pace. It features strong internal creature redundancy and decent recursion, but it is vulnerable to sweepers and lacks artifact interaction or countermagic.
