Deck overview

This Rakdos deck turns opponents against one another through forced combat, goad mechanics, and asymmetric political punishment. Commanded by Xantcha, Sleeper Agent, the deck accelerates out early mana rocks, gifts Xantcha to an opponent, and punishes players with combat-forcing threats like Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos, Baeloth Barrityl, Entertainer, and Life of the Party. While opponents batter each other's life totals, pillowfort cards like Crawlspace, No Mercy, and Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs shield you from retaliation. The interaction suite is dense with flexible spot removal and efficient sweepers to keep opposing combo and go-wide strategies in check. Once the opposing field is thinned and life totals are critically low, game-ending spells like Insurrection, mass activations of Xantcha, Sleeper Agent, or the infinite mana loop of Basalt Monolith and Rings of Brighthearth close out the match decisively.
