Deck overview

This is a five-color attrition deck helmed by Child of Alara, whose death trigger destroys all nonland permanents - a reset button the deck can exploit with its recursion suite. The core strategy is a party/typal value engine (Clerics, Rogues, Warriors, Wizards) that generates incremental life drain through Drana's Emissary, Epicure of Blood, and Falkenrath Noble, then closes with big X-spells like Exsanguinate and Crypt Rats. Havoc Festival accelerates the clock by halving life totals each upkeep. The commander provides a one-sided (post-recursion) board wipe and a 6/6 trample body, but the deck does not revolve around it - it is a bonus reset, not the engine.
