Deck overview

This mono-black control and Voltron deck is commanded by Zenos yae Galvus // Shinryu, Transcendent Rival. The strategy leverages Zenos's unique Burning Chains ability, which wins the game instantly whenever a chosen opponent loses. The deck accelerates into an early Zenos, eliminates the creature chosen by Zenos's enter-the-battlefield trigger using an extensive suite of low-cost removal spells, and transforms the commander into an 8/8 flying Dragon. From there, the deck equips Shinryu with lethal stat multipliers such as Blackblade Reforged, Nightmare Lash, Fireshrieker, or Tainted Strike to eliminate the designated target in one or two swings. Because the rest of the table loses the moment that target falls, the deck bypasses the traditional challenge of dealing 120 total damage in multiplayer Commander. Robust removal, big-mana engines like Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast, and steady card replenishment keep the deck resilient across mid-game combat cycles.
