Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx tribal midrange strategy commanded by The Ur-Sphinx. It leverages the commander's Eminence ability to provide constant mana cost reduction for Sphinx spells right from the command zone. Supported by efficient 2-CMC mana rocks and additional cost reducers like Urza's Incubator and Heartless Summoning, the deck accelerates into large flying threats ahead of curve. Turn 4 marks the deployment of primary card engines such as Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign and Consecrated Sphinx, which rapidly refill the hand and dig through the library. By Turn 6, the deck establishes an overwhelming aerial board presence capable of dealing heavy combat damage while triggering The Ur-Sphinx's free spell casting on attack. High-impact asymmetric sweepers like Kindred Dominance and efficient counterspells protect the board and disrupt opponents, culminating in an inevitable combat-driven table elimination by Turn 8.
