Deck overview

This deck is a high-power mono-blue Artifact Combo-Stax strategy commanded by Urza, Lord High Artificer. The game plan accelerates mana rapidly using low-cost artifacts that double as mana sources once Urza enters the battlefield. On Turn 3, Urza deploys alongside a scaling Construct token and immediately enables asymmetric stax locks with Winter Orb, Static Orb, and Back to Basics by tapping them down to bypass their restrictions on your own turn. By Turn 4, the deck tutors for infinite colorless mana engines via Basalt Monolith paired with Forsaken Monument or Rings of Brighthearth. Infinite mana allows Urza to activate his exile ability indefinitely, casting the entire library to win on the spot through Psychosis Crawler life drain or looped Nexus of Fate extra turns. An elite suite of free and low-cost countermagic shields the combo from disruption.
