Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive Mardu tribal strategy helmed by Edgar Markov. From the command zone, Edgar Markov's Eminence ability generates a 1/1 black Vampire token whenever any Vampire spell is cast. The deck curves low-cost creatures into midgame tribal lords like Stromkirk Captain, Captivating Vampire, and Bloodline Keeper to assemble a fast, wide board presence. By Turn 6, casting Edgar Markov or an anthem like Coat of Arms converts this army into a lethal threat. The deck also incorporates an aristocrats package featuring Blood Artist, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, and Bloodthirsty Conqueror, which drains opposing life totals during combat and punishes sweepers. An infinite combo between Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond serves as an alternate win condition.
