Deck overview

Azlask, the Swelling Scourge commands a versatile five-color Eldrazi deck that merges aristocrat token swarms with traditional big-mana ramp. The core engine produces Eldrazi Spawn and Scion tokens using cards like Glaring Fleshraker, Writhing Chrysalis, and Path of Annihilation. Sacrificing these tokens accelerates mana development while steadily adding experience counters to Azlask. Once established, Azlask's five-color activation transforms small tokens into lethal, indestructible attackers with Annihilator 1 that shred opposing boards. Beyond combat overruns, the deck casts high-impact legendary Eldrazi titans such as Ulamog, Kozilek, and Emrakul, which provide uncounterable cast-trigger removal and massive card advantage. Asymmetric control tools like Dictate of Erebos and Void Winnower suppress opposing creatures and lock out critical spells. An infinite colorless mana combo pairing Basalt Monolith with Forsaken Monument feeds directly into Walking Ballista or Staff of Domination, giving the deck excellent flexibility, velocity, and closing power.
