Deck overview

This Esper Commander deck leverages Tawnos, Solemn Survivor to convert graveyard resources and cheap artifact tokens into formidable, high-impact artifact creature copies. The strategy begins by producing expendable artifact tokens—such as Thopters, Powerstones, and Servos—via enablers like Sai, Master Thopterist and Urza, Powerstone Prodigy, while filling the graveyard with colossal threats including Triplicate Titan, Phyrexian Triniform, and Wurmcoil Engine using loot and mill effects. Once assembled on Turn 5, Tawnos reanimates these threats as artifact tokens, which are subsequently cloned using Tawnos's first ability, March of Progress, or Masterful Replication. The deck exerts critical pressure by Turn 6 and finishes the table by Turn 8 through wide combat damage boosted by Urza, Chief Artificer or direct life drain from Marionette Master. It features strong natural board wipe resilience through token-splitting death triggers, though it remains susceptible to targeted graveyard exile and mass artifact exile.
