Deck overview

This Grixis deck pairs Saruman, the White Hand's amass engine with Sauron, the Dark Lord's card draw to build a huge Army and a swarm of Wraiths. Saruman effectively acts as a hidden commander: every noncreature spell adds counters to an Army, and Mauhur multiplies that growth. The typical game plan is to play Saruman early, resolve Sauron for refills via Ring tempts, then use Lord of the Nazgul's nine-Wraith threshold plus aristocrat/ETB drain payoffs to finish all opponents at once. Graveyard recursion from Buried Alive, Reanimate, and Living Death gives a secondary path. The deck is mid-speed, value-oriented, and vulnerable to board wipes.
