Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Ninjutsu tempo strategy built around Satoru Umezawa, leveraging cheap, unblockable 1-mana creatures to cheat massive game-ending threats directly into play tapped and attacking for just four mana. The primary route deploys an unblockable creature on Turn 1, casts Satoru on Turn 3, and activates ninjutsu on Turn 4 to drop Blightsteel Colossus, eliminating an opponent on the spot with 11 infect damage. Alternate cheat targets like Toxrill, the Corrosive, Archon of Cruelty, and Elder Brain provide sweeping creature suppression, life swings, and hand destruction. The deck sustains card velocity through Satoru's Anticipate trigger and combat damage draw enchantments like Coastal Piracy and Bident of Thassa. A low-cost interaction suite featuring Snuff Out, Counterspell, and Spell Pierce defends key windows and disrupts opposing threats, while native ninjas provide reliable backup if the commander is removed.
