Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Simic Landfall Combo-Control build helmed by Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait. It operates on extreme mana velocity and explosive card draw, accelerating through the early turns with dense 1-2 CMC ramp spells and creature land-droppers like Sakura-Tribe Scout and Llanowar Scout. Once Aesi enters on Turn 4, every land drop replaces itself while providing additional mana drops to storm through the library. The primary win condition is an infinite landfall and mana loop using Retreat to Coralhelm, an untapped land-dropper, and a bounce land like Simic Growth Chamber, drawing the entire deck into an immediate Laboratory Maniac win or Psychosis Crawler drain on Turn 5. A counterspell suite featuring Force of Will, Force of Negation, and Pact of Negation protects the combo and disrupts opposing strategies. If the combo is disrupted, alternative engines like Tatyova, Benthic Druid and threats like Koma, Cosmos Serpent ensure sustained inevitability.
