Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie Aristocrats engine commanded by The Ghoul, Gunslinger. The strategy focuses on sacrificing recursive creatures, filling the graveyard, and draining opponents through repeated death triggers. By combining dedicated sacrifice outlets like Warren Soultrader and Carrion Feeder with recursive fodder such as Gravecrawler, the deck generates immense mana velocity, card draw, and board control. Drain payoffs like Bastion of Remembrance, Ayara, First of Locthwain, Plague Belcher, and Syr Konrad, the Grim convert these loops into lethal damage. Powerful reanimation spells, including Living Death, Reanimate, and Victimize, provide exceptional resilience, enabling rapid recovery if opposing players remove your key permanents. While the deck dominates creature-heavy matchups through asymmetric suppression effects like Grave Pact and Noxious Ghoul, its lack of stack interaction and artifact removal leaves it vulnerable to targeted graveyard exile and artifact-based combo engines.
