Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger control strategy built around Ojer Pakpatiq, Deepest Epoch. By granting rebound to every instant cast from hand, Ojer Pakpatiq generates immense card advantage and tempo, doubling the value of cantrips, counterspells, and bounce effects at zero additional mana cost on your upkeep. The mana base leverages cost reducers like Sapphire Medallion and Curious Homunculus alongside High Tide to fuel explosive spell turns. As instants resolve and rebound, payoff engines like Metallurgic Summonings, Chrome Host Seedshark, Deekah, Fractal Theorist, and Geralf, the Fleshwright convert spell casts into an overwhelming army of scalable tokens. The deck defends its engine with over a dozen efficient counterspells and versatile bounce spells like Sublime Epiphany and Capsize. Once a critical mass of tokens is assembled around Turn 6, the deck protects its board, exhausts opposing resources, and swings for lethal combat damage over two rotations.
