Format: Commander

Commander: The Gaffer

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-white deck converts life gain into card advantage through The Gaffer, then uses that draw power to assemble a compact infinite-damage combo or reach an alternate win condition. The commander acts as a repeatable draw engine that rewards every end step with 3+ life gained. The primary plan is to establish life-gain triggers (Soul Warden, extort, lifelink), draw into combo pieces, and close with Archangel of Thune + Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Cleric Class + Walking Ballista. Secondary paths include Approach of the Second Sun with Reprieve, Felidar Sovereign/Test of Endurance life milestones, and Aetherflux Reservoir burst. Stax elements like Blind Obedience and Archon of Emeria slow opponents while the deck builds.
