Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir reanimator strategy built around Mirko, Obsessive Theorist. The primary plan uses dense surveil spells and self-mill creatures to filter draws, grow Mirko with +1/+1 counters, and stock the graveyard with high-value targets. On early turns, Mirko reanimates low-power utility creatures like Baleful Strix and Dogged Detective. As Mirko's power scales, the deck reanimates game-dominating threats including Grave Titan, Doom Whisperer, Massacre Wurm, and Overseer of the Damned. Counter-manipulation tools such as Power Conduit, Hexavus, Soul Diviner, and Nesting Grounds remove finality counters from reanimated creatures, allowing them to be recurred repeatedly. The deck closes the game by overwhelming opponents through large combat attacks and death-trigger life drain from Syr Konrad, the Grim, supported by standalone reanimation spells like Reanimate and Rise of the Dark Realms.
