Winota Smacks by user8563807

Format: Commander

Commander: Winota, Joiner of Forces

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Winota, Joiner of Forces stax-aggro build that weaponizes the commander's attack trigger to cheat Humans directly onto the battlefield. The deck runs a dense package of cheap non-Human attackers - Ornithopter, Goldhound, Legion Warboss goblin tokens, Loyal Apprentice thopters - to fuel Winota's top-six dig, converting each swing into a free Aurelia, the Warleader, Hero of Bladehold, or Captain of the Watch. A light stax shell (Thalia, Heretic Cathar, Vryn Wingmare, Clarion Conqueror, Leonin Arbiter) slows opponents while the snowballing combat step closes the game. Primary win is overwhelming combat damage via extra combats and token swarms; Finale of Glory and Martial Coup serve as finishers. The entire plan is Winota - without her triggers, the deck is a fair Boros token pile.
