Deck overview

This Dimir control deck uses Toxrill, the Corrosive as an oppressive centerpiece to dominate creature-based boards and grind out victories. The early game focuses on developing mana rocks such as Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, and Thran Dynamo, while using efficient counterspells and removal to keep fast threats in check. Once Toxrill resolves on Turn 6, its slime counters steadily wipe opposing boards at every end step, generating a growing army of 1/1 Slug tokens that convert into extra card draw. The deck leverages heavy asymmetric disruption like Opposition Agent and Notion Thief to deny resources while building toward decisive win conditions. Games are closed through lethal Toxrill commander damage, wide Slug attacks, draining with Syr Konrad, the Grim, casting Rise of the Dark Realms, or assembling the two-card Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond infinite combo.
