Deck overview

This deck is an artifact combo-control powerhouse commanded by Urza, Lord High Artificer. Its core strategy revolves around deploying Urza rapidly using premium positive-mana rocks like Mana Vault, Sol Ring, and Chrome Mox. Once on the battlefield, Urza transforms every artifact into an untapped mana source, accelerating your mana curve and generating massive mana advantages. The deck leverages this acceleration to either establish asymmetric stax locks with Winter Orb and Static Orb—tapping them before your turn to break parity completely—or tutor directly into infinite mana engines. Key winning combinations include Power Artifact enchanting Grim Monolith and Isochron Scepter imprinting Dramatic Reversal. Generating infinite mana allows Urza to activate his exile ability indefinitely, casting your entire library to finish the game with Walking Ballista or Aetherflux Reservoir. High-grade countermagic protects your win lines while flexible artifact recursion and backup win conditions ensure long-term resilience across multiplayer pods.
